Winterfest at Mystic Aquarium

After Santa has done his rounds and before the excitement of the New Year kicks in, you’ve got a week with the kids out of school. Or the relatives (who can act like kids) kicking around the house. Or both. Which is where Winterfest at Mystic Aquarium comes in.

For the full week between Tuesday, December 26 and Sunday, January 1, Mystic Aquarium retains its festive ambiance, as Santa and the elves kick back after their big trip. Vacationing elves do underwater trivia. Enchanted toys come to life. You can even visit Santa in his disheveled workshop to thank him for all his hard work. And there’s plenty of non-Santa themed fun, too -- talented ice sculptors, special animal appearances, and merry music from local favorites.

Winterfest runs from 11 AM to 3 PM daily. Plus, when you visit on Saturday or Sunday, you can meet the most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph, and his snowy friend Bumble as they visit the Aquarium. Winterfest with Rudolph & Friends activities are free for Aquarium members and with admission. Admission: $36.99 adults; $31.99 seniors (60+); $30.99 youth (13-17); $26.99 children age 3-12 and free for children 2 and under.
